Carry on to Corryong Awareness Ride  : Concerned by the relentless march of NPWS and Greenies to lock up evermore of KNP it was decided to highlight just what is being lost. Although the ride was unable to travel through KNP views of the main range and adjacent high country enthralled the trail riders.

Day One : Tumut to Yellowin Bay forestry camp – From the picturesque Tumut show ground to lunch at the dam wall at Blowering Dam and than onto the Yellowin Bay forestry camp. Entertainment by Ernie Constance
Day Two : Yellowin Forestry Camp to McPherson Plain Resort near the Elliott Way – Lunch at Buddong Falls.  The high country is truly exquisite in its beauty. Entertainment by Rob Graham, Bruce Keenan with their excellent singing and Arthur Webb with his bush poetry.
Day Three : McPhersons Plains to Tooma – Lunch on a mountain trail with views of brumbies and other animals along the way. Some of our trail riders had never seen horses in the wild and were amazed by their beauty and agility. We were entertained by “Dad’s Crampy” a fantastic bush band from Albury.
Day Four : Tooma to Tintaldra an easy day – Lunch at the Tintaldra pub and entertain by Owen Blundell.
Day Five : Tintaldra to Corryong with on days rest allowed before the commencement of The 2007 Man From Snowy River Festival.

A great time was had by all with many saying they are coming back next year
and bringing their mates and families.

Congratulations to Col Banwell and his team of tireless workers.
Good luck with it next year.

Did you know that...............The KNP incorporates the largest contiguous area of snow country and alpine landscapes in Australia.
This is a compact area of only 11,000 hectares.
